Summary

Description
English: A 25 pounder gun of a British Artillery Field Regiment in a waterlogged position one mile N.E. of Scorticata, 1944.
Heavy and continuous rain, resulting in swollen rivers and waterlogged roads, is still holding up the advance in Italy. But Indian troops in the Adriatic sector of the 8th Army have pushed on to capture the village of San Donato, about 4 miles west of Scorticata across the Rubicon.
